About the position

The Lead End User Device Technician at Wellstar Health System is responsible for designing and developing end user device solutions tailored for a complex healthcare environment. This role involves collaborating with leadership to establish technical and architectural standards for end user devices, while also identifying opportunities for improvement within the existing systems. The technician will leverage their comprehensive knowledge of available end user device (EUD) technologies and industry trends to analyze system requirements and anticipate long-term user needs, thereby planning for the future development of integrated EUD solutions. In this position, the technician will work closely with technical staff to ensure that user specifications are met effectively. This includes not only the technical aspects of device management but also ensuring that the solutions provided align with the operational needs of the healthcare environment. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service delivery in a fast-paced setting. The technician will also be expected to lead projects, coach and mentor junior staff, and engage in advanced troubleshooting to resolve complex issues that may arise with end user devices. This position is critical in ensuring that healthcare professionals have the necessary tools and technology to provide optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop end user device solutions for a complex healthcare environment.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define technical and architectural standards for end user devices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • 7 years or more of experience in Infrastructure Architecture.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with software, hardware, network applications, desktop applications, and both Apple and Microsoft products.
  • Excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, and time management abilities.
  • Experience in project leadership and team management.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members effectively.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
