About the position

The Lead Project Engineer for the AP1000 Poland Project at Westinghouse is responsible for overseeing the engineering aspects of the project, ensuring successful delivery of the first AP1000 Reactors in Poland. This hybrid position requires collaboration with various teams and stakeholders, managing budgets and schedules, and facilitating technical coordination. The role emphasizes leadership in complex project environments and effective communication with upper management and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with GES functional managers and cross-functional teams to implement standard work processes and procedures for the AP1000 Poland Project.
• Provide direction to assigned leads and team members for scope execution.
• Develop, maintain, and distribute engineering budgets and schedules for the Poland Project execution.
• Monitor staffing needs on assigned tasks and communicate demand signals accordingly.
• Facilitate cross-discipline coordination for technical and schedule-related issues.
• Interface with customers, consortium partners, and regulators to support stakeholder engagement and project plans.

Requirements

• Experience leading and directing medium to high complexity projects to successful completion.
• Advanced interpersonal skills including effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lead and direct complex team structures and develop relationships with upper management stakeholders.
• Familiarity with the AP1000 or AP300 project, processes, and procedures.
• Ability to establish effective networks across various functional areas and motivate a team to reach common goals.
