About the position
The Lead Engineer for Controlled Indoor Environments will spearhead the design and implementation of advanced climate control systems utilizing SCADA, IoT, PLC, and HVAC technologies. This role is crucial for optimizing environmental conditions to maximize yield and operational efficiency, integrating state-of-the-art technologies for precision-focused and sustainable practices. The position involves leading a multidisciplinary team in developing robust systems within a rapidly growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced climate control systems.
- Optimize temperature, humidity, and lighting conditions for operational efficiency.
- Integrate state-of-the-art technologies for sustainable practices.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop robust systems.
- Utilize engineering expertise to enhance controlled environment applications.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical engineering leadership role, preferably in controlled environment applications.
- Proficiency in designing and constructing PLC-based data acquisition systems.
- Experience with modern cloud-based IoT technologies and machine learning in PLC controls.
- Project management experience in PLC control systems and vendor management is preferred.
- Solid background in data analysis and reporting, particularly using MS Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.

- Experience with Cloud-ML type coding or applications is a strong plus.
