About the position

The Lead Engineer for Controlled Indoor Environments will spearhead the design and implementation of advanced climate control systems, focusing on optimizing temperature, humidity, and lighting conditions to maximize yield and operational efficiency. This role requires expertise in SCADA, IoT, PLC, HVAC, and large-scale indoor control technologies, and involves leading a multidisciplinary team to integrate state-of-the-art technologies for precision-focused and sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced climate control systems.
  • Optimize temperature, humidity, and lighting conditions for operational efficiency.
  • Integrate state-of-the-art technologies into climate control systems.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop robust systems.
  • Utilize engineering expertise to enhance precision-focused and sustainable practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a technical engineering leadership role, preferably in controlled environment applications.
  • Proficiency in designing and constructing PLC-based data acquisition systems.
  • Experience with modern cloud-based IoT technologies and machine learning in PLC controls.
  • Project management experience in PLC control systems and vendor management is preferred.
  • Solid background in data analysis and reporting, particularly using MS Excel or similar applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.

  • Experience with Cloud-ML type coding or applications.
