About the position
The Lead Engineer for Controlled Indoor Environments will spearhead the design and implementation of advanced climate control systems utilizing SCADA, IoT, PLC, and HVAC technologies. This role is crucial for optimizing environmental conditions to maximize yield and operational efficiency in various controlled environments such as data centers and indoor agriculture. The engineer will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to integrate innovative technologies that promote sustainable practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced climate control systems.
- Optimize temperature, humidity, and lighting conditions for operational efficiency.
- Integrate state-of-the-art technologies for precision-focused practices.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop robust systems.
- Utilize engineering expertise to enhance controlled environment applications.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical engineering leadership role in controlled environments.
- Proficiency in designing PLC-based data acquisition systems.
- Experience with cloud-based IoT technologies and machine learning in PLC controls.
- Project management experience in PLC control systems and vendor management.
- Solid background in data analysis and reporting, particularly with MS Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.

- Experience with Cloud-ML type coding or applications is a strong plus.
