About the position
The Lead Engineer position focuses on overseeing the development and implementation of software solutions using Java, AWS, and Angular technologies. This role requires strong leadership skills and hands-on experience in web services development, as well as a collaborative approach to problem-solving and team dynamics.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of software solutions using Java, AWS, and Angular.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement REST and SOAP web services.
- Manage production issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Utilize build and deployment tools such as Ant, Maven, and Jenkins.
- Oversee the use of source control tools like Subversion and GIT.
- Ensure adherence to web application standards and technologies.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP web services development using core Java J2EE.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Knowledge of Spring Framework and Hibernate.
- Experience with web application standards and technologies like Spring Batch, Spring Boot, XML, XSD, XSLT, WSDL, and JAXB.
- Exposure to application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, and WebLogic.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases including Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
- Familiarity with build and deployment tools like Ant, Maven, and Jenkins.
- Experience with source control tools such as Subversion and GIT.
- Comfort with Angular 4 or above and Bootstrap is a plus.
- Experience with Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
