About the position

The Lead Engineering Project Manager will oversee large capital projects within the corporate engineering team, focusing on supporting North America's supply chain goals. This fully remote position requires significant travel and involves project planning, budgeting, compliance management, and operational support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large capital plant projects while following project work process (PWP) with multiple project phases and develop deliverables over the duration of the project lifecycle.
  • Support 3rd party engineering, equipment vendors, and contractors.
  • Work with Supply Chain and Corporate Engineering teams to develop and maintain environmental stewardship & employee health and safety.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Planning to develop and/or understand long-term business goals.
  • Visit assigned plants and meet with facility operations to discuss business goals and understand their operational, environmental, and safety needs.
  • Review operational needs to develop and maintain a ten-year plan considering return on investment, safety & environmental exposure, and logical construction sequencing.
  • Annually review the plan with the supply chain team, track progress, and update maintaining the three-year 'look ahead'.
  • Develop budget estimates for the coming fiscal year in collaboration with Supply Chain Planning and plant facility operations.
  • Review, update, and maintain engineering standards & best practices with the engineering team.
  • Update and maintain facility 'Core Drawings' including plant general arrangement drawings, electrical one-line drawings, and facility P&ID drawings.
  • Manage project spends from $1M to $20M in a fiscal year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 5-8 years' experience in heavy industrial/process work and project execution
  • Experience in process commercialization focused on process flow, liquid transfer, chemical processing, and high-speed packaging
  • Proficiency in Auto-CAD, SAP, and MS programs (including MS Project)
  • Knowledge of blending/packaging equipment mechanical and controls
  • Field implementation knowledge
  • Ability to travel up to 50-60%
