About the position

The Lead Engineering Project / Program Manager at Cox Communications is responsible for driving large-scale technology and business transformation initiatives for customers. This role involves managing complex migrations, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and teamwork, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver cloud solutions. The position requires a consultative approach to project management, focusing on strategic client relationships and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Project & Program Management of RapidScale larger or strategic customer engagements
  • Independently plan and execute projects with customers and internal teams
  • Manage and develop strategic client relationships as a trusted advisor
  • Provide consultative guidance to clients regarding strategy and achievement of desired outcomes
  • Lead cross-functional teams in delivering cloud solutions for RapidScale clients
  • Develop and maintain understanding of cloud technology to steer clients and direct internal teams
  • Management of and reporting to project stakeholders
  • Risk, assumption, dependency, issue, change, account and escalation management
  • Participate in the Project Management Community at RapidScale
  • Lead client and internal team meetings with thorough documentation and follow-up
  • Implement process improvement for clients and RapidScale
  • Assist with training of new hires on the Client Project Delivery Team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 6 years' experience as a Project Manager, Program Manager, or Management Consultant
  • Strong knowledge of delivery, relationship management, and risk identification
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams delivering technical solutions
  • Knowledge of Enterprise IT, Software Development, and Web-Based Infrastructure
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Proven ability to create and improve processes while training others

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree with 4 years' experience or Ph.D. with 1 year of experience
  • Experience with large enterprise level customers
  • Desire to quickly learn new technical knowledge
