About the position

The Lead Enterprise Application Integration Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex integration solutions using Azure Integration Services, Confluent Kafka, and Apigee. This role involves providing technical guidance to team members, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication within a hybrid onsite-offshore development team. The engineer will also be tasked with optimizing integration solutions for performance and security while staying updated with emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex integration solutions using Azure Integration Services, Confluent Kafka, and Apigee.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, both onshore and offshore.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for onsite clients and stakeholders.
• Lead and manage a hybrid onsite-offshore development team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Resolve technical issues and provide timely solutions to critical problems.
• Conduct regular reviews and provide feedback on team performance and project deliverables.
• Develop and maintain integration flows, APIs, and data mappings using Azure Integration Services, Confluent Kafka, and Apigee.
• Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, working closely with the support team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise application integration, with a strong focus on the retail industry.
• Proven expertise in Azure Integration Services, Confluent Kafka, and Apigee.
• In-depth knowledge of integration patterns, API design, and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
