About the position

Wolters Kluwer is seeking a Lead Salesforce Architect/Developer to play a pivotal role in the Clinical Effectiveness (CE) division, which is undergoing a significant transition to a new consolidated suite of business systems. This position is crucial for designing, coding, and implementing upcoming CE Business Systems projects within the Salesforce organization. The Lead Salesforce Architect/Developer will report to the Clinical Effectiveness Principal Solution Architect and will be responsible for architecting solutions that enhance the customer journey across all phases of the lifecycle. This role offers an exciting opportunity to transform the business systems of a healthcare information technology company, ensuring that the solutions provided are secure, efficient, and aligned with industry standards. The Lead Salesforce Architect/Developer will be tasked with architecting technical solutions for various business problems using the Salesforce technology platform. This includes collaborating with security architects to ensure that the solutions are secure and compliant with regulatory requirements. The role also involves working closely with vendors and implementation teams to ensure that the product feature set is architected to provide a complete digital experience. Additionally, the architect will negotiate features for the roadmap for both Salesforce and required integrations, aiming to reduce costs associated with customization. In this position, the architect will provide direction to Sales and Service teams, helping to build processes that enhance the digital experience. They will also be responsible for developing architecture and design blueprints, identity management solutions, and data analytics solutions using Salesforce's Einstein platform. The architect will act as a visionary, partnering with various stakeholders to recommend improvements to the Salesforce platform and ensure that business systems are secure and compliant with audit requirements. Furthermore, the role includes conducting architecture reviews, developing proof of concepts, and presenting potential solutions to business leaders to gain buy-in for viable solutions. The architect will also be involved in executive presentations to the CIO and department leaders, showcasing technology capabilities and ensuring value delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Architect technical solutions for business problems using Salesforce technology platform
  • Work with security architects to provide secure solutions on the Salesforce platform
  • Collaborate with vendor and implementation teams to ensure a complete digital experience
  • Negotiate features for the roadmap for Salesforce and required integrations
  • Provide direction to Sales and Service teams to enhance digital experience
  • Develop architecture and design blueprints
  • Architect identity management solutions for customers and employees
  • Architect solutions for data analytics and Einstein platforms
  • Partner with architects and technical leads to recommend SFDC platform improvements
  • Ensure business systems security and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct architecture reviews and develop proof of concepts
  • Present potential solutions to business leaders and negotiate feature functions
  • Deliver executive presentations to CIO and department leaders on technology capabilities
  • Participate in industry-level contributions and best practices collection
  • Evaluate products for build versus buy decisions
  • Develop a comprehensive technical roadmap for Health Enterprise Business Systems
  • Serve as an escalation point for technical roadblocks and challenges

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a technology-related field required
  • 10+ years of experience in global software development and deployment
  • 8+ years of experience delivering applications on Salesforce platform, Sales, Service and Commerce Cloud
  • Development knowledge of SFDC, including Salesforce Lightning Design, Salesforce objects, data model, workflows, process builders, approval flows, reports and dashboards, SOQL, SOSL, Data Loader
  • Hands-on experience building Salesforce Lightning components, custom objects, Apex Classes and Triggers, Visualforce, Web services and other related technologies
  • Solid knowledge of Salesforce execution governors and limits
  • Knowledge of current security and web development programming languages, with expertise in Java, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, and JQuery
  • Experience working in an Agile team environment
  • Service and Sales Cloud implementation experience using Live Agent, Omni Channel, CTI Adapters
  • Background with architecture concepts (integration styles, architecture styles, patterns)
  • Knowledgeable in ETL tools like Informatica, and integration tools like Web methods
  • Knowledge of data management including Data Capture, Segmentation Storage and security
  • Experience working on Solutions Architecture in Digital and Omni-channel areas
  • Good understanding of Customer Journey Experience and Analytics
  • Understanding of main SFDC architectural concepts and their influence on design
  • Deep working knowledge of Cloud (AWS preferred) and understanding of DevSecOps
  • Force.com platform experience, including limitations of the platform
  • Salesforce community development
  • Experience with application monitoring tools, log analytical tools, security tools (Splunk, GitHub, Jenkins)
  • Ability to manage and resolve complex and ambiguous technical issues
