About the position

The Lead Enterprise Data Governance Professional at Humana is responsible for advancing data governance practices across the enterprise. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure adherence to data governance standards, facilitating data stewardship, and supporting critical initiatives related to data quality and analytics. The position requires strong leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to drive consensus among diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and enable data governance best practices across the enterprise.
• Drive the collection and maintenance of key business metadata, including data definitions and quality rules.
• Ensure compliance with business and enterprise data standards and frameworks.
• Promote the value of the Data Governance program to stakeholders and enforce data policies.
• Measure performance against data governance KPIs and address exceptions to thresholds.
• Define support structures and processes for data stewardship implementation.
• Act as a liaison to the Data Governance Leadership Council and subcommittees.
• Provide advanced analytics to support risk metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with data governance practices.
• Ability to manage large-scale, visible programs with multiple project teams.
• Passion for improving consumer experiences.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior data governance and/or data quality technology experience.
• Data Steward Certification.
• Project Management experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Power BI.
