About the position

The Lead Enterprise Data Governance Professional at Humana is responsible for advancing data governance practices across the enterprise. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to implement data governance best practices, ensuring data quality, and supporting critical initiatives related to data management. The position requires strong leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence and guide the data stewardship community effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support Data Governance activities across the enterprise by facilitating best practices.
• Guide and consult with the enterprise data stewardship community, including Data Stewards and IT Custodians.
• Evaluate and validate the criticality of data and assess data quality.
• Implement, track, and monitor remediation activities for data issues.
• Drive the collection and maintenance of key business metadata, including data definitions and quality rules.
• Ensure compliance with business and enterprise data standards and frameworks.
• Socialize the value of the Data Governance program and enforce data policies.
• Measure performance against data governance KPIs and address exceptions.
• Define support structures and processes for data stewardship implementation.
• Act as a liaison to the enterprise Data Governance Leadership Council.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with data governance practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale programs with multiple project teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior data governance and/or data quality technology experience.
• Data Steward Certification.
• Project Management experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Power BI.
