About the position

The Lead Enterprise Data Governance Professional plays a crucial role in advancing data governance practices within the organization. This position is responsible for guiding and consulting with the enterprise data stewardship community, ensuring adherence to data governance standards, and supporting critical initiatives related to data quality and analytics. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong emotional intelligence, capable of navigating complex stakeholder dynamics and driving consensus across various business and IT partners.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and enable data governance best practices across the enterprise.
  • Drive the collection and maintenance of key business metadata, including data definitions and data quality rules.
  • Ensure compliance with business and enterprise data standards and frameworks.
  • Promote the value of the Data Governance program to stakeholders and enforce data policies and standards.
  • Measure performance against data governance and stewardship KPIs and address exceptions to thresholds.
  • Define support structures and processes for data stewardship implementation.
  • Act as a liaison to the enterprise Data Governance Leadership Council and subcommittees.
  • Provide advanced analytics to support risk metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with data governance practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, visible programs with multiple project teams.
  • Passion for improving consumer experiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Prior experience with data governance and data quality technology.
  • Data Steward Certification.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Power BI.
