About the position

The Lead Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Planner will oversee planning and scheduling analysis and control activities during the EPC phase. This remote position requires collaboration with various teams to develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and optimizing project performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and scheduling analysis and control activities during the EPC phase.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor engineering, procurement, and construction schedules.
  • Conduct EPC phase related reporting and analysis, including P6 schedule quality metrics.
  • Support planning studies, forecasting, and project optimization during the EPC phase.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Project Controls, and external partners to integrate engineering activities into the Integrated Master Control Schedule (IMCS).
  • Facilitate the creation of cross-system and cross-project logic ties in the schedule.
  • Assist in negotiating hand-offs between stakeholders regarding technical/engineering content and schedules.
  • Lead the development and organization of engineering scope schedule fragnets for planning and estimating.
  • Provide oversight on the implementation and use of fragnets across the project.
  • Lead project management efforts with integrated reviews of planned work and compile three-week look-ahead activities for partners.
  • Review scheduled EPC phase work activities to ensure alignment with project milestones.
  • Analyze critical path and constraints to recommend solutions for achieving baseline key milestones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and at least 13 years of professional experience, or a high school diploma and at least 19 years of professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CPM scheduling and advanced experience with Primavera P6 software.
  • Experience in preparing, monitoring, and reporting schedule information in engineering, procurement, and construction environments.
  • Proficient in using computers for executing work processes.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management acquired through specialized instruction or practical experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated advanced capability with Primavera P6 on complex engineering and construction projects.
