About the position

The Lead ETL Data Architect will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of data architecture and ETL processes, primarily focusing on Tableau and SQL technologies. This position involves participating in the software development life cycle (SDLC) for both existing and new applications, ensuring effective data integration and migration, and supporting SOA integration initiatives. The role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Lead Developer in various SDLC processes including requirements verification, design, development, testing, maintenance, and support activities.
  • Create and maintain SSRS reports and SSIS ETL packages.
  • Support SOA integration initiatives and participate in the SDLC process for the new SACWIS system.
  • Develop Tableau Reports and assist in the design and development of database architecture.
  • Develop strategies for data acquisition, quality, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Assist in the migration and integration of data from legacy systems to new applications.
  • Design, develop, and implement ETL/ELT solutions for data ingestion and cleansing.
  • Coordinate with Business Analysts and users to validate requirements and implement solutions for data integration.
  • Perform tests and validate data flows according to business requirements.
  • Optimize SSIS package execution and SQL execution for performance.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience with Tableau.
  • More than 5 years of experience writing complex SQL queries.
  • Expertise with TSQL, SSRS, SSIS, or Talend.
  • Experience with debugging and improving query performance.
  • Experience with deploying SSIS packages using git check-in and SQL Agent.
  • Experience with Transact-SQL and stored procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and cross-functional analysis skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and meet tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with code control/version Team Foundation.
  • Experience in data modeling and database architecture.
