About the position

The Lead Event Specialist is responsible for executing in-store food and non-food demonstrations, engaging with consumers, and selling products in a professional manner. This part-time role involves managing event execution equipment, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring compliance with food safety guidelines. The position requires effective communication with store management and collaboration with other Event Specialists, particularly in the absence of a Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Management and maintenance of the equipment and supplies used for events to ensure they are clean and secured in the agreed upon area of the backroom.
  • Communicate with store management about upcoming events and the execution of past events in their store when Supervisor is absent.
  • Be the point person for all events being conducted in the store when Supervisor is absent.
  • Assist Supervisor by providing leadership and knowledge to the team.
  • Gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
  • Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
  • Assist/perform all job responsibilities assigned to the demo program.
  • Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
  • Prepare and serve food samples including raw meats, produce, and eggs complying with food safety guidelines.
  • Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
  • Properly set up and prepare Event Table for execution.
  • Complete all work assigned.
  • Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
  • Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
  • Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
  • Prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as Event execution.
  • Take digital photos of Perfect Table Setup to document success stories for clients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient ability to use and navigate on a personal computer and personal mobile device using applications and internal systems.
  • Food Safety Professional Certification, Local Food handlers permit if required.

  • Bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
