About the position

The Lead Event Specialist is responsible for executing in-store food and non-food demonstrations, engaging with consumers, and selling products in a professional manner. This part-time role involves managing event execution equipment, maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring compliance with food safety guidelines. The position requires effective communication with store management and collaboration with other event specialists, particularly in the absence of a supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Management and maintenance of the equipment and supplies used for events to ensure they are clean and secured in the agreed upon area of the backroom.
  • Communicate with store management about upcoming events and the execution of past events in their store when Supervisor is absent.
  • Be the point person for all events being conducted in the store when Supervisor is absent.
  • Assist Supervisor by providing leadership and knowledge to the team.
  • Gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
  • Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
  • Assist/perform all job responsibilities assigned to the demo program.
  • Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
  • Prepare and serve food samples including raw meats, produce, and eggs complying with food safety guidelines.
  • Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
  • Properly set up and prepare Event Table for execution.
  • Complete all work assigned.
  • Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
  • Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
  • Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
  • Prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as Event execution.
  • Take digital photos of Perfect Table Setup to document success stories for clients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient ability to use and navigate on a personal computer and personal mobile device using applications and internal systems.
  • Food Safety Professional Certification, Local Food handlers permit if required.

  • Bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.

Benefits

  • Starting salary at $14.00/hr
  • Flexible working hours not exceeding 25 hours per week.
