About the position

The Lead Field Engineer position at Baker Hughes is part of the Early Career Program designed for recent graduates. This role involves working closely with clients in the energy sector, focusing on deploying tools and services, solving technical problems, and ensuring high-quality support for customers. The program lasts approximately 36 months and aims to develop foundational skills for innovative contributions in the energy industry.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with crew members to deploy tools and services, including liaison with customers and shore-based Operations Managers.
  • Participating in finding solutions to complex technical problems through hands-on work at the work site.
  • Preparing, documenting, and receiving outbound and inbound equipment and products, including products to and from the work site.
  • Providing support for tenders, including data analysis and cost estimates, as well as performing invoicing activities.
  • Engaging in job shadowing opportunities to develop a holistic understanding of the business.

Requirements

  • Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (all fields), Engineering Technology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geosciences, or similar, within the last 36 months.
  • Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a scale of 4.0 (or equivalent).
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or temporary resident, without the need for employment sponsorship.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for teamwork and the ability to guide others.
  • Demonstrated good leadership, critical thinking, and numerical skills as well as data analysis and project management abilities.
