About The Position

The Lead Finance Analyst position within the Consumer Bank Finance Team focuses on supporting Lines of Business (LOBs) within the Consumer Bank. The role emphasizes analysis, forecasting, and reporting to enhance performance, increase financial transparency, and serve business clients effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of analytical experience in Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Experience providing decision support and building client relationships.
  • Organized self-starter with the ability to think and work independently and creatively.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to thoroughly analyze and resolve issues with limited direction.
  • Strong financial and/or accounting acumen, including analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish solid working relationships with multiple teams and individuals with varying levels of expertise.
  • Proactive and effective communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in project management with proven ability to lead cross-functional team projects.
  • Proven team player, willing to assist others to ensure group deadlines are met and quality standards achieved.
  • Passion for continuous improvement related to process, accuracy, and details.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Access).
  • Experience working with financial system reporting environments (i.e. Workday, IBM TM1, Tableau, Oracle Essbase, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive ideas, advice, and financial modeling for strategic plans, forecasts, performance management, incentive compensation, and product profitability.
  • Leverage ad-hoc financial performance analysis to assist business partners in strategic decision making & understanding drivers behind profit/loss outcomes.
  • Coordinate and participate in LOB and product level financial forecasting and planning.
  • Provide financial guidance and support financial evaluations of proposed initiatives and technology investments by gathering assumptions, preparing financial projections, and measuring profitability including ROE/ROA/ROBC.
  • Act as a liaison between line of business and selected partners relative to financial performance, including human resources, marketing, credit, technology, accounting, and other LOB segments.
  • Partner with team members, business line leadership, product teams, and finance peers & management in Treasury and Accounting on daily, monthly, and quarterly tasks.
  • Provide accurate and insightful financial reporting, including volumes, balance sheet & income statement drivers.
  • Assist the segment in daily financial management activities.
  • Maintain and update organizational hierarchy structure that reflects the management of the business and facilitates reporting.
