About the position

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a highly motivated individual for the role of Lead Financial Analyst, Global Franchise FP&A. This position is primarily located in Danvers, MA, with flexible work arrangements considered on a case-by-case basis. The Lead Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in partnering cross-functionally to address current and future financial reporting requirements. This role is integral to supporting project-specific initiatives for the global Abiomed team, focusing on process and technology improvement as well as financial compliance. The successful candidate will report directly to the Lead Senior Manager, Global Franchise FP&A. In this position, the Lead Financial Analyst will coordinate with various business partners for actuals reporting, which includes Operations, Compensation & Benefits, and Procurement. The analyst will execute financial close responsibilities, including BSARs, analytics, and quarterly compliance deliverables such as BS-75. Additionally, the role will support Abiomed Finance Leadership by providing data-driven analytical insights that will be used to counsel and influence decision-making processes. The Lead Financial Analyst will manage the timely, compliant, and accurate completion of close activities through effective coordination with Abiomed finance partners. Participation in projects and initiatives aimed at driving standardization and optimization of finance processes is also a key responsibility. This includes collaboration with the extended Global Compliance Team to enhance Global Desktop Procedures, local Standard Operating Procedures, and Control Optimization. Furthermore, the analyst will support new system implementations, focusing on the development of necessary process and finance controls, and will manage ad-hoc projects, analytics, and KPIs. The role also encompasses leading initiatives related to CREDO, Organizational Health, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), and Talent, fostering collaboration and personal and professional growth while serving the communities in which we operate.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with various business partners for actuals reporting (i.e. Operations, Compensation & Benefits, Procurement).
  • Execute financial close responsibilities including BSARs, analytics and quarterly compliance deliverables (e.g. BS-75).
  • Support Abiomed Finance Leadership with data-driven analytical insights for use in providing counsel and influencing decision-making.
  • Manage timely, compliant, accurate completion of close activities through coordination with Abiomed finance partners.
  • Participate and deliver on projects and/or initiatives to drive standardization and optimization of finance processes (e.g. Global Desktop Procedures, local Standard Operating Procedures, Control Optimization, etc.) through partnership with extended Global Compliance Team.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Finance or Accounting.
  • CPA, CMA or equivalent professional qualification are preferred.
  • A minimum 4 years of experience within finance required.
  • Experience working with US GAAP is preferred.
  • Ability to think strategically and connect optimally with upper management is required.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and multitasking skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, as well as both oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Effectively work with new and changing situations is required.
  • Being an independent worker is required.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and influence skills with external partners is required.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Planner, Power BI, Power Automate.) is required.
