About the position

ST Engineering MRAS is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to join our team in Baltimore, MD. This position is crucial for developing innovative financial solutions that drive customer outcomes and support company growth while effectively managing risk and reward. As an intermediate-level professional, the Lead Financial Analyst will be expected to possess subject matter expertise and demonstrate increased independence in problem-solving and decision-making processes. The role involves providing comprehensive financial support for various programs, ensuring that internal customers receive timely and relevant data to facilitate informed decision-making. The Lead Financial Analyst will engage in regular meetings with Program Managers (PMs) to deliver financial analyses of program statuses, contributing to the budgeting and forecasting processes through detailed analyses. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for developing program financial plans that align with departmental priorities within the business unit. The role may also involve supporting special projects within the finance group as assigned, requiring a proactive approach and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. This position is based at our state-of-the-art facility located on Maryland's Chesapeake Bay, where we have been designing, building, and equipping civil and military aircraft for over 95 years. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the financial health of our programs and contribute to the overall success of ST Engineering MRAS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end financial support for programs.
  • Meet with Program Managers monthly or more frequently to provide financial analysis of program status.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes by performing analyses.
  • Develop program financial plans as required, focusing on department priorities within the business unit.
  • Support other special projects within the finance group as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Finance.
  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Risk Management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, possessing advanced Excel knowledge.
  • Experience with SAP is highly preferred.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills.
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability.
