Due to continued growth, we are looking to add a Lead Field Service Technician role to our location in Orlando, FL. In this role, your main function is to respond and resolve complex service calls, providing senior technical support and troubleshooting and/or team leader functions. Additional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of small service jobs, time and material, and preventive maintenance may be assigned as well. These customers will have various products installed that fall into the - fire alarm, and security systems category as well as their associated computer systems. Will be expected to coach and mentor more junior technicians. The goal is to ensure system up-time and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Can independently troubleshoot and repair complex issues Can program 2-3 systems at an expert level Perform complex system back-ups and install appropriate updates Build quotes, sell, and attend necessary business meetings with customers Oversee the technical work for high profile clients Complete required documentation for work performed or other contractual obligations Proper use of safety personal protection equipment Security and other clearances as required by customer Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Certifications required for system-specific work Ability to work independently Ability to travel throughout the service area Valid Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Grunau Fire Protection Desired Experience: 7+ years of experience in Fire Alarm/Security Ability to program Fire Alarm Systems Experience working with various Fire Alarm Systems/Panels NICET II Certification Technical Training Strategic mindset As part of the Davis-Ulmer Family of Companies, we believe that investing and empowering our employees as leaders develops an organization that delivers innovative solutions and services that create a superior customer experience.
