About the position

Western States Fire Protection (WSFP) is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join their team. This role involves ensuring the safety and functionality of fire alarm systems through installation, programming, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to manage projects from start to finish. The position emphasizes integrity, quality, and commitment to safety, aligning with WSFP's core values.

Responsibilities

• Site verifications of fire alarm installations
• Analysis of blue prints
• Coordination with other disciplines, engineers, general contractors and end users
• Interact with clients, field personnel and Fire Marshals
• Installation of fire alarm equipment

Requirements

• NICET I certification or willingness to receive the certification within 1 year
• OSHA 30 certification is a plus
• Manufacturers certificates preferred
• 5 years service or install experience preferred
• Solid knowledge of NFPA 72, Factory Mutual and applicable codes is mandatory
• Ability to work independently and in a group/training environment
• Knowledgeable with programming and troubleshooting multiple fire alarm panel manufacturers
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of expenses and schedules
• Possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel within the state
• Willing to pass a post-offer drug test, background and reference check
