About the position

The Lead Fireplace Installation/Service Technician at The Cozy Dog Fireplace Shoppe is responsible for the installation and servicing of various types of fireplaces, including gas, wood, pellet, and electric models. This role requires direct interaction with clients, ensuring high-quality service and professional appearance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the industry, particularly in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work, and must be able to work in various weather conditions while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Install and service gas, wood, pellet, and electric fireplaces in the Tri-State area.
• Interact face-to-face with clients to provide excellent service.
• Ensure a professional appearance and maintain organization on job sites.
• Lift and handle materials weighing 50 lbs or more.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams for installations.
• Utilize common hand tools effectively and safely.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and use ladders appropriately.
• Follow exact instructions and communicate clearly with contractors, clients, and co-workers.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in fireplace installation.
• HVAC knowledge is required.
• Plumbing and electrical knowledge is required.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams.
• Dependable with great time management skills.
• Ability to make common-sense decisions on the job.
• Experience with architectural blueprints and schematic drawings is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual skills are preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
• Experience in framing and finish work.
