About the position

The Lead Footwear Product Line Manager at Nike is responsible for uniting the Product Design and Product Development teams to deliver consumer-centric products on time and within target margins. This role involves crafting a strategic vision for the product line, conducting marketplace analysis, and ensuring effective collaboration across various departments to bring innovative footwear products to market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on product briefs and timelines.
  • Develop and present product briefs that drive innovation and commercial success.
  • Craft a multi-year roadmap and line plan for the footwear category.
  • Analyze consumer insights and market trends to inform product development.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, product testing, and finance to ensure smooth product transitions.
  • Empower and mentor team members to achieve business results.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills to present products to internal and external audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in product management or related fields.
  • Strong business orientation and analytical skills with a proven record of metric growth.
  • Experience in translating category vision into a multi-year line plan.
  • Proven line planning skills and merchandising expertise.
  • Strategic knowledge of product supply chain and distribution channels.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including mentoring others.
  • Outstanding presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of marketplace, competition, and trends.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, including internationally.
