About the position

As a Lead Front-End Developer - Analytics & Graphing at ADP, you will be responsible for designing and developing responsive web applications that incorporate data analytics features and interactive visualizations. This role involves collaborating with data scientists and design teams to create user-friendly interfaces that provide valuable insights, enhancing the understanding of workplace dynamics. Your work will contribute to ADP Research's mission of improving productivity through data-driven discovery.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using modern front-end technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Understand and review Python and SQL code to leverage and generate content and insights.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate designs into high-quality, reusable code.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
  • Develop and integrate interactive charts, graphs, and data visualizations using libraries such as D3.js, Chart.js, Plotly, or Highcharts.
  • Implement data analytics features in Python and SQL to provide valuable insights to users.
  • Work with back-end developers to integrate APIs and data sources for real-time analytics.
  • Analyze user interaction data to refine and improve user interface and experience.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for front-end development and data visualization.
  • Engage in regular meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve skills and apply new techniques.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role, including 3+ years of front-end development experience with a strong portfolio of web applications.
  • Expertise in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Expertise with data visualization libraries such as D3.js, Chart.js, Plotly, Highcharts or similar.
  • Experience with data analytics concepts and techniques.
  • Experience with Python and SQL code.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with back-end technologies and APIs (e.g., Node.js, RESTful services).
  • Experience with best practices in utilizing AWS as a web hosting service.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD).
  • Experience with performance optimization and testing frameworks.
