About the position

The Lead Frontend Developer will join the Video Meeting platform (VMaaS) development team, acting as the main frontend architect and technical leader. This role involves providing guidance to junior team members, overseeing frontend development, and ensuring high-quality code standards. The position requires collaboration with backend and DevOps teams to deliver a seamless user experience for the Sangoma Meet product.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main frontend architect and developer for the VMaaS platform.
• Provide guidance and supervision for junior team members in frontend development.
• Perform peer code reviews to ensure high-quality standards are met.
• Design and implement frontend software related to the VMaaS platform.
• Develop mobile applications for the VMaaS platform.
• Debug and analyze issues reported by customers.
• Integrate third-party cloud APIs and libraries.
• Collaborate with Backend and DevOps teams to ensure a flawless user experience.
• Utilize best practices in coding and software development to produce efficient, scalable, and secure software.

Requirements

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• At least 7 years of experience in web applications development.
• Strong knowledge of AngularJS and/or ReactJS frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of WebRTC and Jitsi-meet video conferencing platform.
• Strong knowledge of source control tools like GIT and Subversion.
• At least 5 years of experience with frontend application development using Linux-based operating systems as backend.
• Good understanding of multi-system-based applications.
• Experience in building scalable and redundant application software.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
• Prior experience in leading and mentoring frontend development teams.
• Good frontend debugging skills.
