About the position

The Lead Full Stack JavaScript Developer is responsible for designing and developing reliable software applications using Node.js or Java. This role involves leading a small team of developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards, and delivering effective user interfaces across various devices. The developer will also create and modify database schemas, develop RESTful APIs and microservices, and document development guidelines. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to interact with multiple levels within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop solid code in Node.js or Java for dependable software applications.
• Lead a small team of developers and ensure code meets design/coding standards.
• Develop effective user interfaces for multiple devices, including mobile and tablets.
• Create and modify database schemas for both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Develop and modify RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Document development guidelines, code reviews, and architecture for web applications.
• Monitor and validate real-time data, identifying trends and presenting findings.
• Interact with various levels within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in web development with CSS and JavaScript frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience with Service Oriented Architecture/Web Services (SOAP/REST).
• 1+ year of experience with Docker for imaging and builds.
• 3+ years of experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases.
• 1+ years of experience with NoSQL/Time Series databases.
• At least 1 year of experience working with Linux.
• 6 to 8 years of solid experience in Node.js and Java technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS IoT, Lambda, SQS, or other cloud services.
• Web development experience using responsive design with HTML5, Angular, and Kendo frameworks.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas/drilling industry.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
