About the position

As a Lead Fullstack Java Developer, you will be responsible for leading moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments. This role involves contributing to large-scale planning of strategies, as well as designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting projects and programs associated with the technology domain, including upgrades and deployments. You will review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures, and resolve these issues while leading a team to meet existing client needs or potential new client needs. Your solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements will be essential in this role. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals. You will lead projects and act as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Java/Microservices Engineer to shape the architecture and develop the next generation Home Lending Origination platform. You will automate complex home lending origination business processes by leveraging cutting-edge Microservices technologies, event streaming related tools, and NoSQL database technologies. This role is designed for an experienced Java/Microservices engineer with event-driven experience, allowing you to produce immediate impact while leveraging your strengths and past experience while learning new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments.
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs.
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• 4+ years of Java unit testing framework - JUnit or related.
• 4+ years of Spring experience.
• 3+ years of Agile experience.
• 3+ years of experience in building Spring boot based microservices deployed in Cloud environment.
• 2+ years of functional test automation using BDD like Karate, Cucumber, Gherkin or similar.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of Angular/AngularJS experience.
• 3+ years of Angular unit testing framework (Jasmine/Karma or similar).
• 2+ years of Kafka experience.
• 2+ years of MongoDB experience.
• 2+ years of Oracle experience.
• 2+ years of Sprint JPA/Hibernate experience.
