About the position

The Lead Generation Representative (Inbound) at Ritchie Bros. is responsible for conducting outbound consignment call campaigns to support the company's sales and revenue goals. This role involves identifying potential sellers, uncovering consignment needs, and filling the regional pipeline with consignments. The representative will work closely with Outside Sales and utilize various systems to drive equipment to the company's live and online marketplaces. This position follows a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for both in-office and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound consignment call campaigns to drive sales and revenue goals.
  • Contact potential sellers to uncover consignment needs and fill the regional pipeline.
  • Work directly with Outside Sales to identify opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Utilize customer databases, SalesForce, and external sources for lead generation.
  • Deliver qualified appointments to designated Outside Sales representatives.
  • Fill gaps in territory managers' schedules to increase company exposure.
  • Generate new business through outbound and inbound channels while building long-term relationships.
  • Develop and deliver accurate campaign statistics reporting performance against targets via SalesForce.
  • Track and follow up with contracts consigned or lost business.
  • Create, monitor, and revise lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of B2B and/or B2C inside sales experience, preferably in the equipment rental/sales industry.
  • Consistent track record of meeting/exceeding quotas.
  • Basic understanding of e-commerce and technology discussions with customers.
  • Experience with general office productivity tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Pleasant and professional phone manner.
  • High sense of urgency and outstanding time management/organizational skills.
  • Persuasive and motivational personality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a virtual corporate culture.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task.

  • Additional languages, especially Spanish.
