About the position

The Software Development Consultant / Genesys SME at Voya is responsible for overseeing the design, development, testing, and implementation of software applications within the Digital portfolio. This role emphasizes collaboration with various teams to ensure smooth application maintenance and delivery, while also focusing on technical risk management and vendor performance. The position allows for flexible work arrangements, including 100% remote work or a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Design within Genesys Architect flow using various Genesys tools, Google Dialog, Voice Bots, etc.
• Ensure proper coordination of software application design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, and support.
• Provide technical and application guidance to offshore team members.
• Accountable for the technical delivery of work for a defined portfolio.
• Work/lead in an Agile delivery environment with daily stand-up scrum calls.
• Ensure delivery and planning of extensive application maintenance and currency efforts in partnership with project management.
• Coordinate with the Application Development Project team and application maintenance team.
• Partner with architects and shared services teams to ensure Voya standards and compliant designs are met.
• Identify opportunities for new services, continuous improvement, and cost reduction.
• Ensure compliance with Voya policy and SLAs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or a directly related field; Master's Degree preferred.
• Eight + years of software engineering and development or Operations experience, including five years in technical leadership, preferably within a Contact center and Digital Application Portfolio.
• 5+ years supporting Digital Retirement Services Digital Portfolio.
• Expertise in new computing architectures and implementation of networked computing structures.
• Demonstrated expertise working across multiple platforms/technologies.
• Hands-on extensive experience in Genesys, Genesys Cloud platform, particularly in Service, Sales and Financial Cloud.
• Experience with Voice/Chat Bot technologies (Genesys/Google DF/Lex/Nuance etc).
• Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and adjust work effort based on critical priorities and SLAs.

Nice-to-haves

• Generative AI experience a plus.
• Certifications preferred but not mandatory - Genesys, Genesys Cloud Service/Sales cloud/Data Cloud/Integration, Genesys Cloud Admin Certification, Genesys Cloud Platform Developer.
