About the position
The Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer (Network) at Humana is responsible for the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to cloud networking and cloud computing. This role involves providing strategic advice and guidance to functional teams, leading the implementation of network infrastructure for Google Cloud, and ensuring an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. The position requires advanced technical expertise and the ability to influence enterprise-wide functional strategies.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and engineer enterprise-level cloud network infrastructure.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to functional teams.
- Lead the implementation of Humana's network infrastructure for Google Cloud.
- Conduct technical planning and architecture development for cloud environments.
- Develop specifications for new IT cloud computing products and services.
- Assess compatibility and integration of proposed products/services as standards.
- Work with senior executives to develop and drive functional strategies.
- Evaluate cloud network performance criteria and measurement methods.
- Prepare analysis of capacity needs for switching, routing, and signaling.
- Conduct cloud network architecture design and feasibility studies.
- Develop alternative cloud routing scenarios and network activity sequences.
- Influence departmental strategy and make decisions on complex technical issues.
Requirements
- Advanced technical experience in cloud networking and cloud computing.
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Ability to conduct economic and population growth studies related to cloud network capacity.
- Experience in developing specifications for IT cloud computing products.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating cloud network performance.
