About the position

The Lead Graphic Designer and Print Specialist at Signarama LAX is responsible for creating impactful visual designs and managing print production. This role combines creative design work with hands-on production, utilizing advanced equipment to deliver high-quality signage solutions for clients. The position offers opportunities for training and development, making it suitable for candidates with a strong design aptitude, even if they lack direct experience in the signage industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept to completion, creating custom signage, banners, vehicle wraps, and other visual products.
• Manage print production jobs, ensuring timely completion and quality control.
• Operate vinyl plotters for cutting and preparing vinyl signage, including installation-ready materials.
• Work closely with production and installation teams to ensure smooth workflow and project success.
• Assist in handling and loading print materials (ability to lift up to 30 pounds required).
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot minor issues, and ensure the work area is organized and safe.

Requirements

• Strong graphic design skills, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop). SAi Flexi Sign Design (training will be provided).
• Basic knowledge of print production and vinyl cutting equipment (training will be provided).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds of material for production-related tasks.
• Experience in the signage industry is a plus, but not required.
