About the position

The Lead Guest Attendant at WoodSpring Suites in Miami, FL, is a dynamic role focused on hospitality and team development. This position involves assisting in leading operations in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring service standards are consistently exceeded, and fostering a performance-based culture within a small, efficient team of hospitality professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Train and provide guidance to staff.
  • Discuss staff performance discrepancies and training needs with the General Manager.
  • Post checks in PMS and complete weekly labor tracker.
  • Manage payment due reports and postpaid outs and receipts.
  • Monitor and follow up on guest feedback and concerns.
  • Suggest and sell amenities, ensuring guest and property security.
  • Assign rooms to be cleaned by housekeeping and assist GM in inspecting rooms.
  • Manage inventory and check property email.
  • Build relationships with vendors and guests, fostering teamwork.
  • Assist with in-house guest sales and marketing initiatives to increase occupancy.
  • Assist housekeeping in rooms as needed and complete laundry duties.
  • Know and follow property emergency procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in hotel leadership, including front desk and back-of-house operations.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong team building skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Proactive in solving problems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hotel management and consulting.
  • Knowledge of property management systems (PMS).
