About the position
The Lead Guidewire Developer will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of Guidewire Cloud solutions, specifically focusing on Guidewire PolicyCenter. This role requires collaboration with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications, overseeing the customization and integration of Guidewire applications, and providing mentorship to junior developers. The position demands a strong technical background in Guidewire technologies and a commitment to staying updated with industry trends.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Guidewire Cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Oversee the customization, integration, and configuration of Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter).
- Ensure the integration of Guidewire with other enterprise systems.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and support.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Guidewire applications.
- Stay updated with the latest Guidewire technologies and industry trends.
Requirements
- Guidewire Cloud ACE Certification is required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter
- Proficiency in GOSU, Java, and other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud and its deployment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead projects.
