About the position

The Lead Hardware Design Engineer at Honeywell is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing products and systems within a collaborative engineering team. This role serves as a key technical focal point across various engineering teams, influencing hardware design directions and methodologies to meet customer needs. The engineer will leverage advanced tools and simulation techniques to achieve significant business results while mentoring junior engineers and leading customer discussions.

Responsibilities

• Perform specification reviews and development
• Standards application and improvements
• Develop and improve work practices
• Review process and product quality
• Collaborate with engineering functional teams
• Lead customer discussions on critical product and/or process design
• Mentor and coach junior level engineers
• Project management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• Significant relevant experience
• Master's Degree or advanced professional certification
• Expert knowledge of product and process technologies or broad knowledge of multiple product and process technologies
• Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
• Ability to consistently demonstrate business impact and continuous drive for improvement
• Ability to influence customers and cross-functional teams to deliver optimal outcomes
• Ability to consistently make timely decisions and balance systematic analysis with decisiveness in an ambiguous environment
