About the position

As a Lead Hardware Engineer in Ford's Advanced Networking Department, you will be responsible for ensuring signal integrity for high-speed communication links. This role is crucial in developing optimal in-vehicle communication networks for Ford's next-generation electrical architecture, integrating new technologies, and enhancing existing network performance while maintaining electrical robustness for automotive applications.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure signal integrity for high-speed communication links.
  • Identify and develop optimal in-vehicle communication networks.
  • Integrate new network technologies and enhance existing ones.
  • Maintain electrical robustness for automotive applications.
  • Create network requirement specifications and design verification documents.
  • Conduct comprehensive design reviews, simulations, measurements, and proof of concept.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Experience in hardware engineering, particularly in signal integrity and communication networks.
  • Strong understanding of OSI model's layer 1 (hardware) to layer 2.
