About the position

The Lead Electrical Engineer at Eramosa International, Inc. is responsible for leading the design of high-voltage substations and ensuring the delivery of detailed engineering solutions. This role involves working closely with clients and contractors, providing technical expertise, and overseeing a design team to deliver critical infrastructure projects across various states. The position offers a blend of remote work and occasional site visits, allowing for a flexible work environment while contributing to impactful engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of high-voltage substations including detailed deliverables such as single-lines, three-lines, and protection and control schemes.
• Conduct power system analysis using software such as ETAP, EasyPower, or SKM.
• Prepare technical studies and reports, ensuring compliance with specifications and codes.
• Review vendor drawings for conformance to specifications and provide feedback.
• Coordinate commissioning procedures and oversee the commissioning of equipment.
• Work collaboratively in a remote team environment, maintaining effective communication with clients and contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license with the ability to obtain additional licenses in multiple states.
• 8-10 years of experience in high-voltage substation design.
• Proficiency in power system analysis software (ETAP, EasyPower, SKM, or equivalent).
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience designing Low and Medium Voltage electrical systems.
• Preparation of commissioning procedures and coordination of equipment commissioning.
• Electrical and site safety training (e.g., OSHA 10-hour).
