About the position

Eaton's AER FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems division is currently seeking a Lead HR Generalist - Hourly Support. This position is based at our Euclid, OH facility, which manufactures engine fuel pumps for both military and commercial aircraft and has approximately 330 employees. The Human Resources Lead Generalist will directly support the HR team in the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and programs to support the business objectives of the manufacturing facilities. This role provides leadership in the effective administration of recruitment & selection, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and other HR processes. Additionally, the role is responsible for assisting with the implementation of policies and procedures as well as driving continuous improvement efforts within the function. As a critical point of contact for the hourly union workforce, the Lead HR Generalist will lead employee relations investigations for all hourly workforce matters. This includes administering the grievance and disciplinary process, interpreting contract language, and advising on day-to-day matters related to wages, benefits, and working conditions to maintain a consistent, fair, and equitable treatment of employees. The role also involves coordinating documentation gathering and representing the company position in Labor Relations proceedings associated with contract administration and employment practices. The Lead HR Generalist will provide HR support to front line leaders managing the hourly workforce through onboarding, one-on-one coaching, and ongoing training and development. They will manage hourly talent acquisition and management activities, including new employee onboarding activities and orientation for both hourly and salaried new hires. Additionally, the role includes managing and updating the attendance tracking database, communication boards, seniority spreadsheet, HR shared drive, and discipline tracking process for the plants. The Lead HR Generalist will implement and administer policies and procedures consistent with Corporate and Plant guidelines to ensure fair administration, support the department in administering the FAA drug abatement and eye testing programs, and process and review all Kronos time entries prior to closing payroll. Furthermore, they will partner with payroll on all new hires, transfers, terminations, vacation accruals, and other financial liabilities, assist with bi-annual employee survey cycles, and promote a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accident prevention and investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, and application of rules.
  • Identify, control, and administer risk and danger in own area.
  • Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.
  • Support site training program, including strategic thinking for hourly workforce development; training tracking and administration; and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
