About the position

This position is located in the Division of Employee and Labor Relations (DELR), Office of Human Capital Management (OHCM), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) which ensures legal compliance of adverse, disciplinary, and performance-based action. The salary will be set after selection based on locality, with ranges varying by location. The job is open for applications from 01/17/2025 to 01/24/2025, and will close when 100 applications are received.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts extensive research into cases to preclude or counter arguments during bargaining and negotiations.
  • Negotiates settlement agreements and/or provides labor relations consultative service.
  • Leads the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees.
  • Drafts and reviews disciplinary/adverse action notices prior to issuance to employees.
  • Articulates and communicates to the team the assignment, project, problems to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must pass a security investigation.
  • Must meet time-in-grade requirements if applying as a current Federal employee.
  • Must have specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-13 level in the Federal service.
  • Must submit supporting documentation to verify eligibility.
