About the position

The Lead HVDC Project Controller is responsible for overseeing project delivery, managing profit and loss accountability, and ensuring customer satisfaction for HVDC projects. This role involves planning and executing project-related activities and resources, with a focus on maintaining project schedules and budgets. The Project Controller will work autonomously within established policies and will be part of a global team dedicated to HVDC solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Lead Project Controls in executing the HVDC project strategy.
  • Deliver planning and costing for the HVDC scope of work.
  • Develop tender schedules and manage schedule risks.
  • Maintain a single project schedule integrating inputs from all functions and third parties.
  • Ensure proper linkages in the schedule to show interdependencies.
  • Collaborate with the project planning team for optimal schedule alignment.
  • Deliver a high-quality schedule aligned with global standards.
  • Drive regular project team meetings to review schedule status.
  • Challenge functional owners on forecast completion dates.
  • Provide schedule analysis to forecast risks and opportunities.
  • Generate 'what if' scenarios to optimize execution.
  • Communicate regular status reporting to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning large turnkey projects.
  • Experience in cost controlling on at least 2 large turnkey projects.
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time.
