About the position

Join the industry leader to design the next generation of breakthroughs as a Lead Industrial Controls Specialist. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment, working under minimal supervision. You will support some of the world's most talented production maintenance technicians, utilizing your expertise to conduct preventative maintenance, scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repair. Your primary focus will be on electrical controls systems maintenance and reliability, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively. As a Lead Industrial Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for directing the work of other maintenance technicians, mentoring and training them to enhance their skills and knowledge. You will ensure compliance with internal procedures and standards, troubleshoot equipment issues, and perform necessary repairs. Your role will also involve testing equipment, identifying parts for replacement, and conducting preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. This position requires a strong understanding of controls systems and the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings. You will need to communicate effectively with your team and other departments to ensure that all maintenance activities are coordinated and executed safely. Your leadership skills will be essential in fostering a collaborative and productive work environment, where team members feel supported and empowered to take initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team that maintains and repairs manufacturing equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Test equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Identify parts for replacement as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years Controls Systems Experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work safely.
  • Arc Flash awareness training.

Nice-to-haves

  • A.A.S. Degree - Electro-mechanical Technology or similar trade.
  • Expert knowledge of Controls Systems repair.
  • Experience with Relays, Transformers, 3-Phase PLCs, VFDs, Vision Systems, and Robotics.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Willingness to grow and learn.
  • Some relevant leadership experience.
