About the position

The Lead, Information Security position at Hancock Bank involves providing supervisory oversight of security controls and troubleshooting efforts related to business-critical applications and systems. The role requires a highly experienced individual capable of leading project engagements, consulting with business lines on security technologies, managing staff, and mentoring junior team members. The position also includes responding to security alerts in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate assignments of information security associates.
• Design, develop, and support various security controls as part of the overall Enterprise Security Program.
• Standardize, document, maintain, and automate information security controls where possible.
• Ensure compliance with Hancock Whitney's policies, guidelines, and architecture, documenting exceptions.
• Work with other bank leaders to support the mission and core values of the bank.
• Provide mentoring, guidance, and training to staff of information security associates.
• Conduct accurate evaluation of the level of security required.
• Weigh business needs against security concerns and articulate issues to management.
• Work with auditors and examiners to assist in gathering requested information for review.
• Participate in continuing education to keep certifications up to date and stay abreast of Information Security Technology Trends.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in information systems or relevant science degree or senior security certification (i.e. CISSP, GSE) and 6+ years related experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience is allowed.
