About the position

The Lead Infrastructure Architect at Highmark Health plays a pivotal role in the planning, design, and architecture development for the IT infrastructure team. This position is responsible for creating a comprehensive blueprint of the network of systems and technological components within the organization. The architect will lead the design of IT architecture to meet team and business objectives, ensuring the integrity of complex architectures and acting as a solution architect for significant projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic consultation to business customers in defining or designing business processes, functions, and organizational structures.
• Facilitate the development of complex enterprise business solutions that integrate business processes with technological options.
• Participate in enterprise strategy development, including environmental analysis and opportunity identification.
• Specify and design large or complex systems, solutions, networks, and infrastructure elements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT infrastructure architecture and design.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise business processes and enabling technologies.
• Ability to lead and mentor less experienced team members.
• Experience in evaluating current technology requirements and assessing new technologies.
