About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer within the Foundational Hosting Environments (FHE) team to provide subject matter expertise and support to the Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) function of Engineering. This role involves maintaining and enhancing existing toolsets, assessing and delivering new tools based on business needs, and collaborating with peers to define standards and processes for operational success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure solutions for business applications.
  • Participate in projects aimed at improving or upgrading the infrastructure.
  • Evaluate software solutions to meet target state architecture goals.
  • Review and analyze high impact outages to ensure proper processes are in place to avoid future problems.
  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure solutions in collaboration with the team and third-party vendors.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document programs using Agile development practices.
  • Make decisions in technical designs, implementation plans, and identify project risks and resource requirements.
  • Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures, and work standards.
  • Recommend actions to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve results.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Interact with customers and vendors.
  • Partner with systems architects and application support engineers to develop functional data center tooling strategies and roadmaps.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Ability to develop highly collaborative relationships both internally and externally.
  • Working knowledge of Data Center operations and workflow.
  • Knowledge of Data Center workflow and DCIM tools including ServiceNow, Nlyte, BMS, EPMS, CFD modeling, and asset/inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of application Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with project management and milestone management.
  • Experience with budgeting, contracting, purchasing practices, and policy and procedure development.
