About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer within the Foundational Hosting Environments (FHE) team to provide subject matter expertise and support to the Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) function of Engineering. This role involves maintaining and enhancing existing toolsets, assessing and delivering new tools based on business needs, and collaborating with peers and Principal Engineers to define standards and ensure operational success.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure solutions for business applications.
• Participate in projects aimed at improving or upgrading the infrastructure.
• Evaluate software solutions to meet target state architecture goals.
• Review and analyze high impact outages to prevent future issues.
• Design, build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure solutions in collaboration with the team and vendors.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document programs using Agile practices.
• Make decisions on technical designs and implementation plans, identifying project risks and resource needs.
• Direct daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies and procedures for success.
• Recommend actions to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve results.
• Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
• Interact with customers and vendors.
• Partner with systems architects and application support engineers to develop data center tooling strategies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience or equivalent.
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships internally and externally.
• Working knowledge of Data Center operations and workflow.
• Familiarity with DCIM tools including ServiceNow, Nlyte, BMS, EPMS, CFD modeling, and asset management systems.
• Knowledge of application Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with project management and milestone management.
• Experience with budgeting, contracting, and policy development.
