About the position

As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a crucial role in a high-performing team focused on delivering infrastructure and performance excellence. This position involves shaping the future of the company's network infrastructure, particularly in the Corporate and Retail Branch locations, through the implementation of modern technologies such as SD-WAN and cellular solutions. You will leverage your deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes to optimize and manage LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and Wi-Fi solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and deployment of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and Wireless solutions.
  • Drive a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with other platforms to architect and implement necessary changes to resolve issues and modernize technology processes.
  • Ensure network designs adhere to industry best practices and security standards.
  • Implement creative solutions for design, development, and technical troubleshooting of moderate complexity.
  • Ensure network security measures are in place and up to date, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Create and maintain network architecture and design documentation.
  • Conduct capacity planning and network performance analysis to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years of applied experience.
  • Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments.
  • Extensive experience with LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and Wi-Fi technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage network projects and teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud networking and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with network automation and orchestration tools.
  • Experience with network performance monitoring and management tools.
  • Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, CWNA, or equivalent.
