Enterprise Instructors at Galvanize are not just educators; they are mentors who guide students through the complexities of modern mobile app development and agile methodologies. The role emphasizes not only the technical skills required for mobile development on platforms like iOS and Android but also the importance of understanding individual learning styles, personality types, and habits. Instructors are expected to lead by example, immersing students in methodologies such as Extreme Programming (XP) from the very beginning of their training. This involves a hands-on approach where instructors engage in lectures, whiteboarding sessions, and collaborative programming exercises, fostering an environment of inquiry and continuous feedback. The Lead Enterprise Instructor will take ownership of the classroom during Enterprise training engagements, acting as the primary point of contact for clients. This role requires effective communication of progress, identification of obstacles, and ensuring that predetermined learning outcomes are met. Instructors will be responsible for planning daily lessons, assessing student performance, and providing a meaningful training experience. They will also collaborate closely with other instructors and Galvanize staff to ensure that students receive timely and constructive feedback on their progress. In addition to teaching, the Lead Instructor will coach student teams on project work, utilizing agile software engineering principles. They will facilitate a dynamic classroom community, develop curriculum, and contribute to the Enterprise product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile app development, experience with agile methodologies, and a passion for teaching and mentoring others in the tech field. This position is home-based, allowing for flexibility while still requiring occasional travel for on-site engagements at various client locations across the U.S.
