About the position

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Instrumentation Engineer to join a vastly growing company in Covington, LA. In this role, you will be responsible for developing project design basis documents and ensuring the development of discipline-specific procedures and guidelines. You will coordinate technical design activities and deliverables specific to your discipline, maintaining and communicating the overall project design criteria with your team. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating the engineering and drafting efforts related to your specific work scope, establishing and maintaining project deliverables, and managing the completion of assigned action items. Timely delivery of project deliverables is crucial, and you will communicate project priorities and concerns to the Project Manager or Engineer. As a Lead Instrumentation Engineer, you will define drawing packages for entire systems and develop and maintain discipline-specific budgets, including tracking budget variances. You will provide budget information to the Project Manager and staff, as well as develop and maintain a discipline-specific schedule. A key aspect of this role is training and mentoring younger engineers to help them grow in their careers. You will also be responsible for establishing the content of project reports and ensuring effective interface with clients. This position requires a commitment to developing greater inter-discipline technical knowledge and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Engineering
  • 8+ years or more of engineering experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with vendors and other stakeholders
  • PE license
  • Lead experience
