About the position

L3Harris is seeking an experienced System Engineer / Integration & Test Engineer to join our team in Palm Bay, Florida. This role is critical for integrating and testing complex network systems, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the integration of customized software and hardware in a fast-paced, engineering-oriented environment. This position requires maintaining development, test, and production environments while integrating new technologies and ensuring system stability and integrity through Dev-OPS concepts. In this role, the Engineer will work mostly independently, under limited supervision, collaborating closely with developers and program leadership. The primary focus will be on identifying and capturing defects, troubleshooting, and resolving integration issues while ensuring that products conform to specifications. The position demands excellent critical thinking skills to debug, analyze, and verify that products meet functional and performance requirements. Key responsibilities include supporting the setup, configuration, and documentation of hardware and software systems under test, including loading custom and commercial software onto multiple systems. The Engineer will also support the design, development, automation, and implementation of systems and procedures across multiple air-gapped networks. Additionally, the role involves building, configuring, troubleshooting, and integrating new and existing software packages to enhance services, deploy applications, and upgrade infrastructure. The Engineer will define, design, and execute system-level test events, including creating plans, procedures, and reports within a TS environment. Furthermore, the position requires executing software tests (User Interface) to hardware (embedded) tests, including automation using Python and SOAP, and managing network configurations involving routers, switches, and other hardware.

Responsibilities

• Support the set-up, configuration, and documentation of hardware and software systems under test, including loading custom and commercial software onto multiple systems.
• Support design, development, automate and implementation of systems and procedures across multiple air-gapped networks.
• Builds, configures, troubleshoots, and integrates new and existing software packages to provide service enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure upgrades.
• Define, design and execute system level test events (create plans, procedures, and reports) within a TS environment.
• Execute software test (User Interface) to hardware (embedded) test, including automation using python and SOAP.
• Responsible for network configuration including routers, switches, and other hardware.
• Supports Dev-Ops concepts and implementation.
• Ability to take ownership of projects through completion.

Requirements

• BS/BA (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, and minimum 6-9 years systems or test experience or Master's degree and 4-6 years of experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10-12 years of prior related experience.
• Experience with firewall, switch, router configurations, network architecture including subnetting.
• Current Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
